Find us at the international Seating Symposium in Pittsburgh| #ISS2023
The 38th International Seating Symposium is organized in The Westin Bayshore in Pittsburgh (PA) from the 13th until the 15th of April 2023.
This international symposium is the world’s largest academic conference in the field of seating, mobility and assistive technology of people with disabilities. Topic areas include service delivery, product development, research, and outcomes. The format for the symposium includes pre-symposium, plenary, instructional, paper and poster sessions.
This year we will be participating as exhibitor and will be presenting iShear – our innovative tool that gives insight into shear forces. iShear can provide valuable information you can use whilst setting up a wheelchair. Next to iShear you will also be able to get information about our Vicair wheelchair cushions. You can find us at booth 516.
The participant will be able to define and recognize clinical important aspects of a wheelchair cushions.
The participant will be able to understand that wheelchair cushions cannot have al important aspects on the highest level available.
The participant will be able to understand that clinical approach sometimes differ from end user point of view.
Carlos Kramer International Clinical Educator specialised himself in seating and positioning through gaining practical experience whilst working for long term care centres, rehabilitation centres and rehab vendors. His educational background is in physics and before pursuing his passion in the industry, he spend 7 years teaching in schools on all levels. He expnded his knowledge of seating and positioning through his close relations and now colleagues Sharon Sutherland-Pratt, Bengt Engström and Bart van der Heijden. Carlos is the head of education at Vicair since 2012 and continues to combine his expertise in teaching and passion of seating to provide high quality education in the field worldwide.
