We, as Team Ocean, are about to row 4,500 kilometers across the largest and deepest ocean in the world!
We’re doing this for #aquawareness – check out our website: www.TeamOcean.nl. Our journey starts on May 15, 2025, in California, and we hope to arrive in Hawaii in early July.
Our team consists of one woman and three men. We’ll be rowing in shifts: two hours on, two hours off. Day and night, 24 hours a day, for about 6 to 8 weeks. That means per person we’ll be sitting on a rowing seat for 12 hours a day, 84 hours a week, 504 hours in 6 weeks.
This puts an enormous strain on our seating area, which is why we chose Vicair. During our training, Vicair cushions delivered the best results—our skin stayed intact! No significant pain or discomfort. The 6 to 8 weeks ahead will be the ultimate endurance test!
